Satma Awards will be hosting a Cultural Parade and Carnival on the 27th of August 2016, More than 30 000 people are expected to be part of this historic Parade as we will be parading against Racism, Celebrating 60 Years of women and Youth of South Africa and Celebrating 90% of Local Music Air play that was declared by the SABC in May 2016. SATMA Awards to launch its 11th annual event

The SATMA Awards will be launching its 11th annual events. 2016 is the year of celebrating 60 years of women who marched to the Union Building in 1956 for the pass laws. The nation also celebrates 40 years of Youth since the saga of 1976, hence the month of June which signifies the youth month. The venue is at Freedom Park – Pretoria on the 18th of June 2016. US President Barack Obama’s gogo, Sarah Obama, received the Lifetime Achievement award and R100 000 donation. T HE 10th annual South African Traditional Music Achievement Awards (Satmas) were held in Zululand this year.
