The Annual South African Traditional Achievement (SATMA) Awards has extended nominations for 2018. The 13th Annual Awards nominations officially opened on 1 March 2018 and will close on 27 July 2018.
Join us in bringing together various ethnic and racial groups through the celebration of our diverse musical heritage as we combat tribalism and all other contentious trials. SATMA awards continues to unearth and develop Traditional Musicians by providing a platform that honours and recognises them with awards and showcases their God given talents.
We are appealing to the public at large to continue nominating their favourite artist(s) by SMS’ing (SATMA, Name of the Nominee and category) to 33888. Each SMS cost R1.50, free SMS do not apply. Citizens are advised not to use commas when SMS’ing, leave spaces only.
Members of the community(s) are encouraged to SMS as much as they like and stand a chance to win a car.
This year, South Africa marks the centenary of the life of our nation’s founding father Nelson Mandela under the theme: “Be the legacy”. To celebrate Madiba’s life, 2018 Nominees will be announced on the 18th of August in Robben Island, Cape Town.
